Climate Action Network West Midlands (CANWM) grew out of Climate Action Network Birmingham (CANB) as more people and groups in the region decided to work together to help create a fossil-free future for our region.  The groups and individuals involved span actions from personal to political and from local to national, to global.

Following the global agreement on climate change in December 2015, CANWM has developed a "Climate Charter" which highlights 10 practical steps we can take to drastically cut carbon emissions.

We're pleased to announce a Big Lottery grant for 2017/18 to develop climate awareness and action at local community level, working with other climate activists in the region - see calendar for details.
